Boris Nemesis Eddie Mair Worried About Bald Patch – Hair loss

Boris Johnson Eddie Mair bald patchYou may know him as the interviewer who caused a stir recently by giving Mayor of London Boris Johnson a particularly hard grilling on The Andrew Marr Show, and Eddie Mair has since brushed off suggestions he’s in line to become the new Jeremy Paxman, the main presenter of BBC’s Newsnight. However, the PM on R4 presenter has confessed that he’s more worried about his hair loss than any possible career changes.

“Size Of A Dinner Plate”

Writing in the Radio Times, Mair explained: “The photos revealed something very shocking to me. What in my mind was my discreet but manageable bald spot is in fact the size of a dinner plate.”

The journalist was forced to confront his thinning crown when “the over-the-shoulder TV camera angle” showed it clearly for the nation to see, adding that “what’s worse, it was then relayed in every newspaper in the land”.

The Scottish news presenter, who has denied claims that he’s after a full time TV current affairs presenting gig, jested that: “My contract is up soon and I haven’t heard anything, so if you run a radio or TV station and you think there’s a future for a 47-year-old in a bad wig – call my agent.”

Avoid That “Bad Wig”

Whilst Mair’s jocular attitude towards his thinning hair is encouraging, there’s another way of dealing with male pattern hair loss that deals with the shedding directly via a dual pronged medical approach. A hair loss treatment programme can halt hair loss and even regrow hair in areas that have not gone completely bald, so it’s essential that men keep tabs on their hair and don’t wait for their balding to be caught on the television!

Male pattern hair loss occurs when androgen DHT attacks follicles atop the head, causing them to shrink and produce weaker hair. The oral medication Propecia blocks DHT, giving follicles the chance to recover providing that they haven’t ceased to produce hair altogether.

A second clinically proven medication, also approved by the FDA and licensed by the MHRA, minoxidil appears to encourage regrowth in affected follicles. Unlike Propecia, minoxidil can be varied in strength to suit the individual, and our pharmaceutical laboratory produces solutions resulting in a daily dose of up to 18%, considerably higher than the 5% available over the counter.

Our high strength minoxidil cream has proven particularly effective for treating a thinning crown, and if like Eddie you have noticed thinning in this area, a hair loss specialist can advise you of the results you can expect from medical treatment. You can also take a look at some before and during treatment photos to get an ideas of the hair loss we can treat.

Prince Harry following in William's footsteps as hair loss expert …

While many men disguise their baldness by shaving their head, Dr Shahmalak doesn’t think that a crew cut would be an option for a Royal.

“The other solution would be for Harry to use Minoxidil, the only other clinically proven hair loss medication available. You can buy a mousse which you apply to the thinning areas of the scalp,” he added.

Harry, who was recently voted the World’s Most Eligible Bachelor in a magazine poll, has been known to poke fun at his older silbling about his hair loss, but now it seems he may be eating his words.

Rob Kardashian Shows Signs of Thinning Hair

Rob shows signs of hair loss although he has sought hair growth treatment such as shampoo and laser comb.

Rob Kardashian seems to have an issue with his hair. He showed receding hair line when photographed leaving The Ivy restaurant in West Hollywood on Thursday, March 21 after having lunch with his family. The 26-year-old man once expressed his concern about losing his hair on E!’s reality show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians“.

“It really bugs me that Kim makes these comments like, you’re balding,” he said at that time. He was so worried that he tried to get help by using shampoo and laser comb to stimulate hair growth. However, it looks like the treatment does not work.

Besides hair loss, he is concerned about his weight. He gained much weight during his hard time with girlfriend Rita Ora. “It’s crazy how this whole year, my whole relationship was only negative. All I did was gain f***ing 40 pounds and lose so much money. I’m so insecure. I weigh like 215 pounds. I hate pictures. I hate everything,” he said on the show.

He started doing exercises and eating on low-carb diet to get back in shape. His friends tagged along and supported him during the process. Some friends joined him hiking at Runyon Canyon, while his “Dancing With the Stars” partner Cheryl Burke accompanied him doing exercises.

“We’ve started running and doing our own little workout,” Rob said about Cheryl. He also hires a trainer. “I lost 5 to 7 [pounds] last week. I’m trying to lose 40. It’s a little journey, but it’s good. I’m like 240lbs right now, probably 235lbs,” Rob said a few weeks ago. He hopes he’ll lose 40 lbs before July 4.

Thinning hair and hair loss – Hair Loss Treatment, Hair Regrowth …

There are so many people worry about their hair loss or want to fix ‘baby hair’. For people are experiencing pattern hair loss, baby hair can be the part of loss. Let’s try to explain how they are connected and why should start to use treatment as soon as possible to lower and maintain the stage of hair loss.

Our hair loss resources indicate that it may take years for someone from early stages of hair loss to go totally bald, but the pictures may not clearly show about thinning hair which is a process of hair loss.

If you take a photo of your thinning areas and zoom in (because some hair may be invisible if you don’t check this way), you may find a lot of hairs look thin and short even less than 1 mm grow out of follicles with light color and soft. Most of them are not able to stand or grow at a right angle on the scalp. People may call them baby hair or thinning hair which will loss / fall out from the scalp easily in a short period of time.

DHT shrinks hair follicles. As a result, follicles are closing and producing a thinner hair shaft. Also, hair growing phase becomes shorter, so hair does not have enough time and nutrition support to grow long, and they are not strong enough to stand at a right angle.

According to the technologies we have so far, it is not possible to make hair re-grow after follicles completely closed just like we are not able to grow grass without any roots or seeds. For people are experiencing pattern hair loss, thinning hair is a chance to grow thicker, longer and healthy if chose the right treatment and use them properly, otherwise, it could be result in further excessive hair loss and end up in a complete baldness. Please get the right and quality hair loss treatment when you still have a chance to stop hair loss (prevent follicles totally close) and promote hair growth.
