Is Tom Hanks Experiencing A Receding Hairline? – Hair loss

tom hanks hair lossHollywood actor and director Tom Hanks, who has appeared in such classics as Forrest Gump and Sleepless in Seattle, appeared at the Tony awards this week, sporting a new darker hairstyle and a moustache. However, his new dark locks drew attention to his hairline, which seems to be receding in the classic ‘M’ shape.

The 56 year old, who was nominated in the Best Actor category for his role as tabloid columnist Mike McAlary in Norah Ephron’s ‘Lucky Guy,’ went home empty handed, but did present an award. The actor appeared in good shape, but with his hair combed back, his receding hairline was in full view.

Catch Hair If You Can

Once patches of the scalp have become completely shiny and bald there is no way for hair to be regrown. However, Tom can still act to regrow hair in thinning areas and stop his hairline from moving further back. Should the Da Vinci Code star wish to halt his hair loss, a clinically proven hair loss treatment plan is his best bet.

In order to regrow hair as supposed to just improving the condition of his existing locks, Hanks would need to take at least one of the two hair loss medications that have been licensed by the MHRA and approved by the FDA. The two medications, due to working in different ways, are highly complementary when taken together.

The first of these medications, Propecia, halts the rate of hair loss by blocking DHT, the androgen hormone that attacks hair follicles atop the scalp. By blocking DHT, hair follicles will be saved from ceasing to produce hair altogether.

Cast Away Baldness

Often, though, the same follicles need further stimulation to be able to regrow healthy hair. This is when the second proven medication, minoxidil, can come in handy. Whilst the scientific mechanism that makes minoxidil so effective is still unclear, we do know that it has achieved consistently good results with regards to hair regrowth, and we know that it’s dose dependent.

A hair loss specialist is therefore required to establish your ideal daily dosage of minoxidil, and stubborn receding hairlines have responded particularly well to our unique high strength minoxidil cream. The various minoxidil formulations also contain certain added ingredients such as azelaic acid, or medroxyprogesterone, which appear to block DHT when applied locally, offering a dual-pronged approach to treating hair loss.

Of course, we know that busy men like Tom don’t have a lot of time to spend on their daily hair-care regimes, so the two medications and the hair growth boosters that make up Belgravia’s bespoke treatment plans can be applied in a matter of seconds in the comfort of your own home. And for those who can’t attend a consultation in person, an online diagnostic form is all that’s required to obtain a remote diagnosis, after which your treatment plan can be posted out to you wherever in the world you might be.
