As we approach summer and the storms blow through, the humidity will pump up and cause meltdowns. To combat that mucky melt, update your beauty arsenal with waterproof products.

To create a sultry look that won’t budge under the heat of the night, trace your lash lines with Tarte’s Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner in Black or Splash. If you have blue or green eyes go for the black shade. If you are a brown eyed girl go for the green.

Before you use Givenchy’s Noir Couture Waterproof Mascara to finish the eye, give your lashes a base coat of Dior’s Maximizer Lash plumping Serum. Ricky Wilson, Dior’s celebrity makeup artist tells Harper’s Bazaar, “It not only ensures fluttery lashes, but it makes the removal process easier.”

Finish the look off with a nude lip and a dewy cheek. Go for a liquid lip color for a bright formula that isn’t sticky. (Click HERE to see Miranda Kerr’s drugstore liquid lip pick!) Trace and fill in your lips with a clear pencil to keep your color in place. Remember to stay inside the lines! Over extending your lip can look clownish. Next apply the lip stain to the center of your mouth and rub lips together to distribute the color.

Quick Tips for Makeup Melting Prevention

*Light application is key. Let your skin breathe as much as possible.

*Avoid creams as they are heavier on your skin. By nature they melt easier which is great for hydrating and application, but sinks under sweat.

*Instead of applying bronzer all over your face, just highlight these features: forehead, bridge of nose, cheekbones and chin.

*Keep some blotting tissue handy. When you start sweating, brush your face with one of these to sweep away the oils that will gather in pores.
