Eyeglass Cleaner Tv Screen | Registry Cleaners & Repair

Many people who wear eyeglasses remember the days of big, bulky, cola-bottle lenses that were not only unattractive, they were heavy and uncomfortable to wear. With new technology, thinner lenses are being created and they re not only more appealing, they are lighter and more comfortable to wear. A newer type of lens gives thin lenses a far more attractive look. Aspheric lenses completely changed the way people wear glasses. Traditional lenses have a spherical surface – like a baseball – so it has the same curve going across the entire surface of the lens. Aspheric lenses, on the other hand, gradually changes in curvature from lens center to the outer edges – giving the lens a more attractive profile. Most of the aspheric lenses are also high-index lenses and the combination of the aspheric design with the high index lens materials creates a much slimmer, thinner, and lighter lens. Generally, the higher the prescription to correct farsightedness, the more the center of the lens bulges out. Aspheric lenses allow for less bulging because they can be created with flatter curves. This allows someone who has a high prescription to choose from a wider selection of frames without worrying that the lenses will look too thick or have that cola-bottle effect. The slimming effect in eyeglasses that correct myopia is less dramatic because this type of lens is concave, so it has the opposite shape. Yet, aspheric lenses provide a noticeable reduction in the thickness at the edge of the frame when compared with traditional lenses created for myopia correction.Aspheric lenses are also known for their superior optics. Traditional lenses allow for a slight distortion when you look away from the center of the lens in any direction. Aspheric lenses reduce and often times eliminate the distortions giving you a wider field of view and better peripheral vision. Since aspheric lenses have flatter curves, they fit closer to your face – which benefits anyone with a strong prescription for correction. They can also reduce the magnification that happens with traditional lenses that correct farsightedness. The magnification of the lens can also distort your vision and make objects appear larger and closer than they really are.Purchasing aspheric eyeglass lenses is just as easy as purchasing any other kind pair of prescription eyeglasses. They re available for correction of farsightedness, astigmatism, nearsightedness, and presbyopia. You can find aspheric lenses in regular CR-39 plastic and glass but they work best when combined with high-index materials. You will get a thinner, lighter result with aspheric lenses. Frame selection is important – you don t want an over-sized frame because it may throw off the curvature of the lens. Your optician can help you select the best type of frame for aspheric lenses. Typically, smaller frames with mid-sized lenses will work best with aspheric lenses but you may want to steer clear of the very popular retro-looking frames that have very large lenses. You may also want to choose an anti-reflective coating for the lens to ward off any glare that may occur from the lens curvature.

  3. QUESTION:
Is there a way to restore my eyesight to perfect without surgery?
I wear glasses and each year I get my eyes checked, they get worse. Not buy much, only slightly. I am nearsighted, by the way. Meaning, I can see up close but not far away. I like wearing glasses, but sometimes they can be annoying what with them sliding off every now and then and the constant cleaning. No, im not getting contacts. I have thought about it, but I doubt I will get them. Anyway, is there a way to make my eyesight perfect again? Im studing to be a wholeistic nutritionist, and have found that certain foods can restore eyesight, but am wondering if this is true or not. Does anyone know? Also, I am not getting eye surgery. I dont want to have to go through anything painful or otherwise uncomfortable. I hate it when my eyes are watering, but I cant blink. It really bothers me. If surgery is the only way, can someone tell me the different types and what happens during the surgery?
    -Thank you!

    • ANSWER:
I found this on a website and I think it answers your question. They are eyeglasses with pinhole lenses rather than conventional ones.

      How They Work.
Pinholes provide an infinite depth of focus so that even when the eye is not correctly focused, objects will appear as if in focus. Importantly they eliminate scattering of light to the retina and hence improve vision.
The idea behind pin-hole glasses is not new. It was known centuries ago and was used before the advent of glass lenses. The reason they work is simple. “Light passing through a small hole (or holes) is restricted to rays coming straight from the viewed object; these rays do not need focusing to bring them to a point,” according to Drs. Russell S. Worrall and Jacob Nevyas in The Eye Exorcisors published in The Health Robbers.
Just look through any pin-hole and you’ll see what they mean. When you do this, blurred images become focused. This is because the amount of peripheral light rays (which are responsible for blurring) is reduced. With appropriately spaced multiple pin-holes, you’ll get clear straight vision without the difficulty of concentrating on a single hole. Regular use of these special pinhole glasses helps exercise eye muscles and helps eyes relax at the end of a tiring day and thus has a beneficial effect. Particularly useful for those who spend a great deal of time looking at computer and/or TV screens, Pinhole Glasses help retrain your eye muscles, just as other forms of exercise retrain muscles elsewhere.

  4. QUESTION:
How can I remove scratches off my tv?
It’s a plasma 65″ tv and the screen is glass. It has an antiglare cover.
Someone told me to use toothpaste to scrub off the scratches. Now it’s even worse than before! I’m so stupid…..
    Helpppppppppppppp !

    • ANSWER:
I don’t think you can remove the scratches. you should buy some of Costco’s Kirkland eyeglasses cleaner, and try using that. thats the best cleaner. always remember this though. people say that toothpaste fixes DVDs and scratches, and other stuff. its “tooth” paste… not scratch paste. tell that to the next person who tells you to use toothpaste

  5. QUESTION:
what is the best way to clean a plasma tv?
just got a new plasma hd tv i was wondering what i should do to clean it.

    • ANSWER:
The front screen is PLASTIC, not GLASS. Do not clean it as if it was glass, that would be a bad move.

A lint-free cloth like you’d use on plastic eyeglasses works well.

You can also use a similar eyeglass-style spray to wet it down a bit, but generally dust is the main thing you want to clear.

Most Plasma TV’s come with a small cloth or something (I got one with a Samsung plasma recently, and previously with a Pioneer plasma).

Don’t use normal household cleaners like Windex. Treat it the same way you’d treat eyeglasses or your laptop screen.
