Eliminate Eczema – CommonWealth Center for Herbal Medicine

Starting off Calendula Salve by terriem, on Flickr

Calendula-infused olive oil is a primary ingredient in a skin-healing salve.

Your skin is a two-way street. When we see a lesion on the skin, we usually think “what did I touch?”, but it could just as much be, “what did I eat?” This is especially true when dealing with chronic inflammatory skin conditions like eczema.

In this class, we’ll discuss nutritional and herbal protocols for resolving eczema outbreaks: quelling itching, calming irritation, drying out weeping sores, and restoring healthy skin tone. We’ll teach you how to screen for and eliminate food allergens, rein in dietary excesses and patch deficiencies, and use herbs as nutritional supplements. We’ll also discuss more direct herbal actions, using herbal baths, poultices, and compress to get medicines directly into the irritated areas, and also blending “blood-cleansing” herbal teas and tinctures to work from the inside out.

We’ve used these remedies ourselves and recommended them to our clients with consistent positive results. Come learn how to rid yourself of eczema!
