Healing Eczema in Only 2 Weeks!

In June 2013, my 20 month old son started to break out with Eczema on his shoulders and underarms. The Eczema continued to spread to both of his thighs. I was against using prescription medication for his Eczema, so I used a combination of Young Living products to help heal his skin.
I created my own Eczema blend of four Young Living Essential Oils: Lavender, Melrose, Frankincense, and Melaleuca Alternifolia (tea tree oil). I put 20 drops of each of the oils into an empty 15 mL bottle. I placed 4 drops of the blend and 1 pump of V-6 Vegetable Oil in my hand. I applied it to all of his affected areas. Then I applied Tender Tush on top to keep the area moist. I repeated these steps in the morning and night. I also used Melaleuca-Geranium Soap when giving my son a bath.
After the first week, the Eczema on my son’s shoulders and underarms was mostly gone and it was fading on his legs. By the end of two weeks, my son was completely healed and Eczema free. My husband and I were so excited with these fast healing results.

'Eczema risk' of childhood antibiotics | Metro News
Children given antibiotics before their first birthday could be at a much greater risk of developing eczema, a study suggests.
Their chances could increase by up to 40 per cent, according to a review by four British institutions of 20 studies.
The risk also increases by an extra seven per cent for each additional drug, the paper adds.
One of its authors, Dr Teresa Tsakok of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in London, said it is thought the medication tampers with microorganisms in the gut and damages the immune system. However, antibiotics may be prescribed because of an increased number of infections in a child, which could itself be the trigger.
The study, published in the British Journal of Dermatology, also showed antibiotics taken by the mother before birth did not appear to affect the chances of a child developing the skin condition.
Nina Goad, of the British Association of Dermatologists, said the evidence was not conclusive but ‘studies like this give an insight into possible avoidable causes and may help to guide medical practice’.

The use of images of beautiful women to illustrate just about any topic is nothing new but, apparently, they are causing more damage to people’s self esteem than ever before. “Body image dissatisfaction in Britain has never been higher, particularly among young people,” says Jo Swinson MP, the chair of an all party group on body image. “The pressure to conform to the impossible body ‘‘ideals’’ we are bombarded with in advertising, magazines and on the catwalk is overwhelming and damaging.”

Now, if an article on eczema can’t even represent the subject with truthful images of the condition then there’s little hope of picture editors deciding to represent real women on the pages of magazines any time soon. So, do yourself a favour – don’t let it get you down, remind yourself of the reality, rise above it, laugh about it, get angry and complain to the publishers if you like – but above all take it for what it is: lazy and thoughtless.
