Those who have been suffering from Hemroids know the pain associated with it. Not only are they difficult to treat and get rid of; the itching, burning and pain caused due to them can at times be devastating. If you too suffer from this stubborn hemorrhoid and are looking forward for a natural solution to it, you need to first understand what hemroids are and how they are formed. This is important because, an exact knowledge of its causes and forms will help you to effectively treat yourself.

A hemorrhoid is the swelling up of one of the blood vessels in your rectal area. It usually happens when excessive pressure is applied over the area. The resultant enlarged lump is what causes you all the problems.

Hemroids are of two types: internal and external. The difference between these two types is very simple. Internal hemorrhoids are inside your rectum whereas external hemorrhoids are formed outside your rectum. This distinction is very important for you to know. Depending on it, you can finally decide the best treatment that would suite you.

Talking about external hemroids treatments, there are several things that you could probably do in your house itself. For example, if you have an astringent lotion like Witch hazel at your disposal, apply it directly over the external hemorrhoids to reduce the

pain and swelling. This also helps in decreasing bleeding caused due to hemorrhoids. Another lubricant that you can apply to your external hemroid is Aloe Vera. It will keep your affected area smooth which is helpful in alleviation of external hemorrhoid.
In case your hemorrhoid is accompanied with acute symptoms of itching and burning, it is highly recommended that you apply a good hemorrhoid cream available at the general drugstore. However, creams are usually not effective in getting complete rid of hemorrhoids. They are only good for treating hemroids symptoms until you get any better hemorrhoids treatment. But if you experience bleeding from your rectum, it is time that you consult a medical professional. There are several surgical hemorrhoid treatments which are known to have a very high rate of success.

Last but not the least; hemroids can be kept under control only if you make some easy lifestyle changes. And this is only possible by changing your diet. It is absolutely necessary because the type of diet you consume greatly affects your hemroids. So consume enough fiber and drink lots of water. This will keep you away from constipation. Constipation can put a lot of pressure on the blood vessels around the rectum where hemorrhoids develop. Be more physically active as sitting for a long duration can put a lot of pressure on the rectal area.
