If any person has come into contact with possible scabies contaminants treatment must be applied right away to lessen the risks of an infection. Family or room mates must all start the treatment regardless if they are showing or not symptoms. Clothing, bedding and towels must all be thoroughly washed and properly treated to be sure not to have mist any mites that can trigger once more the scabies.

All drugs that can cure and treat scabies must be prescribed by a professional doctor. It is not a wise thing to do to use non prescribed drug before first consulting with the doctor. If any drugs are used before that, making a proper diagnose will most certainly be a more difficult task.

Some creams are actually used by people and they do affect the diagnose given by the doctor. Corticosteroid creams change the appearance of the rash and they make it very hard for the doctor to give a proper diagnose of the condition the person may be suffering from. The best thing to do would be to use the use the drugs after the doctor has given the go ahead. Oral antihistamines (such as Benadryl) can be used without the fear of later interference with the diagnose.

Creams prescribed by the doctor can be used in a very good way to fight and treat the scabies. Still some creams present a risk factor towards infants. In these kind of cases it is best to use permethrin, crotamiton, and sulfur ointment. The wide variety of drugs available on the market help patients a lot in treating the disease.

There are cases, like the crusted (Norwegian) scabies where the attack of the mite is much more aggressive and the effect on the skin is tougher, several treatments are required, sometimes with the use of more than one drug. Steroid creams and steroid pills can be used with good success in relieving itching, but they don t actually kill scabies. Another type , nodular scabies can be treated with either injections of steroids in to the nodules or in some cases using tar products applied to the skin.

Generally, most of the creams are applied on the entire body; in the cases of infants even on the face and scalp. It is indicated to keep the cream on for 8 to 14 hours to increase the chance of killing the mites.

It is not uncommon for the treatment to fail. This is sometimes due to the wrongfulness way that the medication has been used. It is best to properly follow the instructions to make sure the disease is cured. Sometimes the eggs are not killed and the mites that are this way born make the scabies reappear. As said before it is very important to also treat all family members or roommates that have come into contact with the patient or different contaminants.

Biologix Hair Inc. Voluntarily Suspends SEC Reporting Obligations

TORONTO, ONTARIO–(Marketwired – Aug 2, 2013) – Biologix Hair Inc. (BLGX) (BLGX) announced that it filed a Form 15 as notice of suspension of the duty to file periodic reports under Sections 13 and 15(d) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 with the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) August 1, 2013. The Company is thereby voluntarily suspending its reporting obligations under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.

As a result of filing Form 15, Biologix will no longer be required to file annual and quarterly reports with the SEC. The Company took this action in order to maximize management efficiency and cost effectiveness during its fast-paced development stage. The Company also aims to benefit from new capital-raising exemptions contained in the JOBS Act, which will allow registration exempt companies to raise up to $50 million in any 12-month period from accredited investors.

The Company’s common stock will continue to be eligible for quotation on the OTC Pink ( quotation system, but will cease to be quoted or traded on the OTC Bulletin Board. The change in trading venue is to become effective shortly after the filing but Biologix will suspend all periodic report filing with the SEC effective immediately.

“Our Directors unanimously supported the voluntary suspension of filings after careful consideration of our short- and long-term goals, and with a view to maximizing shareholder value,” said Biologix Chairman Ron Holland. “We expect that the added flexibility and cost effectiveness associated with a temporary ‘dark period’ will quicken our pace during the development stage and expand our strategic options in terms of financing and development of our intellectual property. In light of JOBS Act reforms, we strongly believe that the benefits of going dark clearly outweigh the benefits we received from maintaining our OTCBB quotation.”

The Company plans to provide timely quarterly and annual reports pertaining to its financial performance and other announcements on its website. The Company also intends to resume its SEC reporting obligations under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 once the timing is optimal for the continuous success of its business operations.

About Biologix Hair Inc. and Biologix Hair Science Ltd.

Biologix Hair Inc. (Biologix Hair), together with its wholly owned biotechnology subsidiary, Biologix Hair Science Ltd. ™ (BHS), is focused on realizing the full market potential for its patent-pending hair loss prevention and regeneration treatment – the Biologix Hair Therapy System™ – and its demonstrated ability to prevent and reverse the effects of alopecia, which plagues hundreds of millions worldwide.

Between mid-2004 and late 2011, more than 30,000 pre-clinical-trial treatments of Biologix Revive – the essence of the Biologix Hair Therapy System™ – were administered to 5,000-plus patients in South America suffering with varying degrees of alopecia, as well as people seeking preventive treatment. The participating treatment clinicians subjectively observed and reported that virtually 100% of preventive care clients continued to retain their healthy hair and an estimated 80-85% of the males and 90-plus% of the females treated for hair regeneration experienced significant regrowth of their own natural hair. And among alopecia areata patients, virtually total hair regrowth was observed in 100% of the cases. To date, no negative side effects have been reported.

BHS is currently focused on obtaining FDA approval for its breakthrough hair loss prevention and regeneration therapy and has initiated a research and development program with one of the world’s leading medical research universities, the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT). The R&D program, expected to take approximately twelve months to complete, is an important final step before formal clinical trials and the FDA approval process begins.

Additionally, on May 11, 2012, Venable LLP, the Washington-based law firm overseeing the worldwide IP and regulatory approval processes on behalf of BHS, filed a Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) application on behalf of BHS for Biologix Revive in Geneva, Switzerland. The PCT is an international treaty, administered by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), to which 147 countries have as of now contracted, including Canada and the United States.

Biologix management is determined to be in a ready position to capitalize on the high-margin sales potential of the Biologix Hair Therapy System™ and is rapidly developing a global distribution network of licensed clinicians and medical practitioners seeking to become Certified Biologix Hair Therapists™ and secure exclusive territorial purchasing and treatment rights for the Biologix Hair Therapy System™.

Although the Biologix Hair Therapy System™ is currently not able to be offered in more heavily regulated markets, such as the United States, Canada and the European Union, there are countries and regions with less restrictive regulatory barriers that enable Biologix to provide immediate treatment via its clinician network while simultaneously focusing on obtaining regulatory approvals for all markets, worldwide.

BHS is in the process of opening a prototype commercial hair therapy treatment and medical training center in Cartagena, Colombia. The fee-for-service clinic is expected to be operational before the end of October 2013. Additionally, management is currently working together with its Medical Advisory Board and its team of legal advisors to determine in which strategic locations around the world to begin offering commercial treatment options – expected to be available in the first quarter of 2014.

What Is The Best Hair Loss Treatment For Women | Total Hair …

What you are describing seems normal to me. It’s what my friends & I experience too.

Here’s the best article I’ve found for you:

    “Hair Loss

Baldness or hair loss is typically something only adults need to worry about. But in a few cases, teens lose their hair, too and it may be a sign that something’s going on. Hair loss during adolescence can mean a person’s sick or maybe just not eating right. Some medications or medical treatments, like chemotherapy treatment for cancer, also cause people to lose their hair. And people can even lose their hair if they wear a hairstyle that pulls on their hair for a long time, such as braids.

Losing hair can be stressful during a time when appearance really matters, but the good news is that hair loss that happens during the teen years is often temporary. Once the problem that causes it is corrected, the hair usually grows back.
    Hair Basics

Our hair is made of a type of protein called keratin. A single hair consists of a hair shaft (the part that shows), a root below the skin, and a follicle, from which the hair root grows. At the lower end of the follicle is the hair bulb, where the hair’s color pigment, or melanin, is produced.

Most people lose about 50 to 100 head hairs a day. These hairs are replaced they grow back in the same follicle on your head. This amount of hair loss is totally normal and no cause for worry. If you’re losing more than that, though, something may be wrong. The medical term for hair loss losing enough hair that a person has visibly thin or balding patches is alopecia.

If you have unusual hair loss and don’t know what’s causing it, it’s a good idea to see your doctor. A doctor can determine why the hair is falling out and suggest a treatment that will correct the underlying problem, if necessary.
    What Causes Hair Loss?

Here are some of the things that can cause hair loss in teens:

    * Illnesses or medical conditions. Endocrine (hormonal) conditions, such as uncontrolled diabetes or thyroid disease, can interfere with hair production and cause hair loss. People with kidney and liver diseases and lupus can also lose hair. The hormone imbalance that occurs in polycystic ovary syndrome can cause hair loss in teen girls as well as adult women.
    * Medications. Some medications that have hair loss as a side effect may be prescribed for teens. These include acne medicines like isotretinoin, and lithium, which is used to treat bipolar disorder. Diet pills that contain amphetamines can also cause hair loss. Chemotherapy drugs for cancer are probably the most well-known medications that cause hair loss, but some cancers including leukemia and lymphoma can cause hair loss even before treatment begins.
    * Alopecia areata (pronounced: air-ee-ah-tuh). This skin disease causes hair loss on the scalp and sometimes elsewhere on the body. It affects 1.7% of the population, including more than 4 million people in the United States. Alopecia areata is thought to be an autoimmune disease, in which the hair follicles are damaged by a person’s own immune system. (In autoimmune diseases, the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy cells, tissues, and organs in a person’s body.) Alopecia areata usually starts as one or more small, round bald patches on the scalp and can progress to total hair loss, although total hair loss only happens in a small number of cases. Both guys and girls can get it, and it often begins in childhood. The hair usually grows back in 6 months to 2 years, but not always.
    * Trichotillomania (pronounced: trik-o-til-uh-may-nee-uh). Trichotillomania is a psychological disorder in which people repeatedly pull their hair out, often leaving bald patches. It results in areas of baldness and damaged hairs of different lengths. People with trichotillomania usually need professional help from a therapist or other mental health professional before they can stop pulling their hair out.
    * Hair treatments and styling. Having your hair chemically treated, such as getting your hair colored, bleached, straightened, or permed, can cause damage that may make the hair break off or fall out temporarily. Another type of baldness that results from hair styling can actually be permanent: If a person wears his or her hair pulled so tightly that it places tension on the scalp, it can result in a condition called traction alopecia. Traction alopecia can be permanent if the style is worn for a long enough time that it damages the hair follicles.
    * Poor nutrition. Poor eating can contribute to hair loss. This is why some people with eating disorders like anorexia and bulimia lose their hair: The body isn’t getting enough protein, vitamins, and minerals to sustain hair growth. Some teens who are vegetarians also lose their hair if they don’t get enough protein from non-meat sources. And some athletes are at higher risk for hair loss because they may be more likely to develop iron-deficiency anemia.
    * Disruption of the hair growth cycle. Some major events can alter the hair’s growth cycle temporarily. For example, delivering a baby, having surgery, or getting anesthesia can temporarily stop the hair growth cycle. (Because the hair we see on our heads has actually taken months to grow, a person may not notice any disruptions of the hair growth cycle until months after the event that caused it.) This type of hair loss corrects itself.
    * Male-pattern baldness. Among adults, particularly men, the most common cause of hair loss is androgenetic (pronounced: an-druh-juh-neh-tik) alopecia, also called male-pattern baldness. This condition is caused by a combination of factors, including hormones called androgens and genetics. In some males, the hair loss can start as early as the mid-teen years. It can also occur in guys who take steroids like testosterone to build their bodies.

    What Can Doctors Do?

If you see a doctor about hair loss, he or she will check your scalp and, in some cases, may take hair samples. You may also be tested for certain medical conditions that can cause hair loss.

If medication is causing hair loss, ask the doctor if a different drug can be substituted. If your hair loss is due to an endocrine condition, like diabetes or thyroid disease, proper treatment and control of the underlying disorder is important to reduce or prevent hair loss. Using a product like minoxidil that can discourage hair loss and speed up hair growth also may be helpful. Alopecia areata can be helped by treatment with corticosteroids. And if a doctor finds that nutritional deficiencies are causing your hair loss, he or she may refer you to a dietitian or other nutrition expert.
    Catastrophic Hair Loss

Hair loss can be the first outward sign that a person is sick, so it may feel scary. Teens who have cancer and lose their hair because of chemotherapy treatments go through a difficult time, especially girls.

It can help to feel like you have some control over your appearance when you’re losing your hair. Try some of the many options for disguising hair loss such as wearing wigs, hair wraps, hats, and baseball caps. For most teens who lose their hair, the hair does return including after chemotherapy. And hair loss during chemotherapy is usually a sign that the treatment is working to destroy the cancer cells because you can see how it’s working on the good cells (your hair!).
    Taking Care of Your Hair

Eating a balanced, healthy diet is important for a lot of reasons, and it really benefits your hair. And don’t forget to treat your hair well. For example, some doctors recommend using baby shampoo, shampooing no more than once a day, and lathering gently. Don’t rub your hair too vigorously with a towel, either. Many hair experts suggest you consider putting away the blow-dryer and air drying your hair instead. If you can’t live without your blow-dryer, try using it on a low heat setting.

Style your hair when it’s dry or damp. Styling your hair while it’s wet can cause it to stretch and break. And try to avoid teasing your hair, which can also cause damage. Finally, be careful when using chemicals such as straighteners or color on your hair.

  • A useful article about hair loss inspired by John Kelby | TOTAL HAIR …

My main aim for creating this website is to review the ‘Total hair regrowth’ by John Kelby. After reading the actual guides called ‘Hair Again’, I have found some really interesting about hair loss. According to a recent study Almost 95 percent of male population suffers from hair loss in life. It may occur at any point in life however the chances increase as one gets older. There can be several factors responsible for baldness but its most common cause is Androgenic Alopecia.

Next question is what is cause of Androgenic Alopecia? The answer for that is Testosterone. It is a male hormone produced both in males and females. It is responsible for sex drive, body and face hair growth, voice deepening and all the good stuff. But the problem comes in when this hormone starts converting into dehydrotestosterone. Dehydrotestosterone or DHT is a hormone that basically causes the hair follicles to shrink which restricts the nutrient supply to hair and therefore hair becomes weak and eventually slide out. And if no precautionary measures are taken, the hair follicle might also become nonfunctional. But the good news is that these hair follicles are be revived even after that.

    There are couple of methods
